I GOT STASH!!!! And more....

I bought something for myself, look......... Isn't it great!!! :-) I had a customer ask me to order something from Olde Colonial for her & I just couldn't resist these for myself, so I had to order them. I was given a generous gift from the Pals to buy myself something "special" last year after the Pals Retreat and I finally found what I wanted! Isn't it great?!?!? THANK YOU PALS!!! I'm just trying to figure out if I can change the colors a bit or if I must stitch it with the pinks! lol I think it will be okay with changing the pinks to reds. I'll let you know when I get around to pulling threads. I really, really, really NEED to work on the Quaker Sampler this weekend but I think this is pulling at me to start it NOW! We'll see... have to make sure I have the fabric I want to use first. Hope we all get lots of stitching in this weekend. It's supposed to be COLD & rainy here, both of which I dislike intensely. :-( Oh well... good reason to stay in & stitch, right?

My dear friend Sandy wanted to help out with the relaxing part, look at the goodies I got from her (along with a RR! lol). I get to read a funny book by one of my fav's and eat yummy kisses while I'm at it. Thank you Sandy, you're a dear & I appreciate you! :-)

Last but not least (for today anyway) is my Brides Tree SAL ornament for January. The Jan. theme is a house, and I used part of an Erica Michael design that I stitched for an exchange last year that I really liked. I changed the colors to look more like our house... gray, white trim & a reddish roof. I like it, that's what counts, right? ;-)

Thanks for looking & I hope everyone has a great weekend. It's Barrett-Jackson auction time again & Ray is going to spend the weekend sitting in front of the TV watching that. Fine by me, it's good "noise" to stitch to! ;-) Actually, though I'm not a "car guy" (or gal) by any means, I do really like muscle cars (goes back to high school days) and I love to see all the great muscle cars, esp. the 69 & 70 Mustangs (my dream car, either year in Grabber Blue) and actually, most any of the 69 & 70 muscle cars are my favs. SO... I will be joining Ray for some auction watching/stitching time. I'm actually planning to take the ENTIRE weekend off. Think I can do it? I'm not so sure honestly...! ;-)

My parents are big fans of the late 60's and early 70's muscle cars as well. They have a '72 Chevelle that my Dad wants to fix up when he retires. The exterior needs some attention, but the engine and innards work like they're brand new. It's a pretty sweet car and I'd love to take it out for a spin when it's all fixed up.

What a fabulous stitching basket! Enjoy stitching it up Amy! It's a perfect reward for arranging the retreat.

I LOVE the basket, it's going to be great when you finish it, no matter what colors you pick. :D And you're very welcome, I know you'll love the book and enjoy the kisses. Your house is so cute, I love how you made it look like your own. Have fun stitching on your Quaker this weekend. It's raining here now and will be awful tomorrow so I think I'll sleep, stitch, sleep ,stitch. LOL Sounds good to me.
