It's Sunday.... (and update on Hannah!)

How do the days & weeks come & go so quickly? How is it already the middle of April? It seems like I blink & another month has gone by already. I haven't been stitching at all this past week. I've been having headaches & neck aches. :-( Hopefully it will be better soon & I can get back to stitching. Today I really need to get some finishing work accomplished. Cross your fingers for me! I also HOPE to stitch some later this evening.

I have a stitching problem... I want to start about 10 new pieces all at once. I need to start/finish three exchanges & then I'm done with exchanges for at least a few weeks! Why do I do this to myself? I LOVE the exchanges, but my "to do" is just growing by leaps & bounds. I keep telling myself I'm not going to sign up for more exchanges, and then I do. Someone STOP ME!!! ;-) (I'm not real sure if I'm serious or not to be honest). I think there just aren't enough hours in the day for everything I want & need to do. I'd be willing to bet I'm not the only one who feels that way am I?

Oh, and it's also way past time for me to get things together for the Pals Fall Fling. It's exactly 6 months & 1 day and I haven't even gotten the details up on the website. For those that don't know, this is a stitching retreat that we've hosted for the past 10 years, this year is #11. It's in Myrtle Beach SC in Oct & it's LOTS of fun. We love to have new people join us, so if you're up for a great week/weekend of stitching & fun, check back soon for more details.

Thank you all for your prayers/good thoughts for my niece. She is doing pretty good. She came over for a few hours yesterday but didn't get to stay long as she wanted because it was time for more drops in her eyes. Even though she brought half of the house with her, we forgot those! ;-) Luckily they live one street over, so it's a short drive (or walk, but we needed something to haul all her "stuff" in). She takes her stuff to "Ray's room" (where he repairs instruments & plays guitar). Hannah calls it "her room" when she's here. I think it's cute! Ray managed to snap one quick pic of her while she was coloring in one of her new little books that she got after her surgery. It looks a little odd as she was just looking up at him from the book. We all spoil this child so rotten she has come to expect "gifts" while/or after being in the hospital. She has had 3 eye surgeries, been in the hospital for C-dif twice (and was EXTREMELY ill with that) and just bascailly has had a rough time in her short 8 years. Her eye is still hurting, though the doc said when the stitches dissolve, she should feel better. She is going back to school tomorrow but she isn't allowed to be outside and my sister is going to have to make an extra trip to the school each day to put drops in her eyes. Doesn't that sound like fun with gas so high?

If you're still reading, thanks for stopping by. I'm going to force myself to get up from this computer & actually accomplish something today. Hope you have a lovely week ahead & happy stitching!!

Amy, I know how you feel about exchanges-though I love to participate. I limit myself because I get cranky if I am not stitching something for me-lol. For me the yearlong seasonal exchange is just enough. I am also doing one personal exchange with a friend. And sometines even with that little bit-I feel pressure.

I am thrilled to hear that Hannah is doing okay. Being a child thankfully has quicker healing properties than us adults. Best wishes to her for a speedy recoveery.

Thanks too for blog anniversary wishes.

Amy, so glad to see Hannah is doing better, she is such a doll. I do feel the same as you do with the exchanges. I sign up for them then my "to do for me" list gets longer. Oh well, it is still fun. Can't wait for the Fall Fling already counting down the days! WOOHOO!!
