I just love Bluebirds.....

Last month Ray built 2 bluebird boxes & put them up in our back yard. Within 90 minutes, a couple had started building a nest in one of them. About 2-3 weeks ago, Ray found 4 eggs in the nest. We've watched the birds come & go since, with one of them sitting with it's head poked out of the hole most of the time ;-) He checked the other day & the eggs were hatching. One of them didn't hatch :-( but look at the other 3! Here are some pics he has taken over the last week or so....

Watching & Waiting......

Newborns.... (or is that newly hatched?) ;-)

Hungry Babies....

Mom with a big juicy worm.... yummy! ;-)

The babies aren't very pretty yet, but they will be! I LOVE bluebirds! Have a great Friday & happy stitching!

How wonderful! We had baby robins this spring and they were so fun to watch and hear. I don't think I have ever seen any bluebirds around the house. Enjoy them and hope they bring friends!!

We also had baby robins, which are sooo sweet...when flying out of their nest, I was just one step away from them and I soooo wished to stroke them but I didn´t;-)))
We had lots of baby birds when I live at home with my parents, hmmm...don´t know the English name for them, they were really small, a kind of finch...

O you lucky girl! We have bluebirds but they never nest in my boxes. The sparrows always claim them first. I love your photos!

This is so adorable. The little babies are so cute. I love birds. I wish we could have a birdhouse but I'd be scared these stray cats would eat them so I won't do that. Lucky....:D

Great post! You have some fantastic pictures. How does that bluebird house work? You can take the front/back panel off and see the eggs/little birds?
