Exchanges I have sent recently...

I can finally share the pics of the exchanges I have been stitching on....

First up is F&S Round #8 that went to Marie P. I had no idea what to stitch for Marie, but by looking at her blog & profile, I saw that she likes birds and she likes to read, so I used the new CC/LHN "Reading", made some color & design changes and here it is. Marie received it yesterday & says she likes it! :-) I'm so glad! I like it too. :-) Her fav color is green, so I changed the dress to a green.

Next we have a floss tag for Cindy in Singapore. (BTW, Cindy has much better pics on her blog). This is for the SBEBB Redwork exchange. It is my first floss tag & I think it turned okay pretty cute. The design is by Homespun Elegance, I think the title is "Necessities"? I'd have to pull the chart back out & look, but I think it's cute!

I also had Cindy's name for the SBEBB Biscornu exchange. I didn't know what her fav colors were or what she liked, so I decided to do pastels since the other exchange was red. This is a freebie design from The Floss Box stitched on 28 ct Lavender Bliss using a pretty Dinky Dyes thread. I don't remember the color name, sorry! I LOVE Dinky Dyes, Jo does a fantastic job & if you have a chance to try them, DO!

I also have this ornament that I stitched for Staci in the Ornament Exchange Group I'm in. I went back & didn't see where I posted it, so here it is. It's from an older JCS Ornament issue & it's by Blackbird designs. I can't find my pic, so I used the one Staci took (hope you don't mind Staci!)

I've stitched a TINY bit this week and hope to get more in this weekend. I feel as if I'm going no where fast with most of my stitching. I have two more exchange commitments to get finished up & then I'm not planning to do anymore at this time. With the Pals Fall Fling coming so quickly (it's 2 months away) I have a LOT to get done and it seems as if there are never enough hours in the day. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way!

Oh, and the baby bluebirds have grown up & left the nest. We aren't quite sure when that happened, but we checked it one evening & they are gone. These are the last pics Ray was able to get of them. The last time he opened the box it seemed as if they were going to jump out, so he was afraid to open it again. These are the last pics he took (can you see 3 birds in there?). I'd love to say we've seen them flying around or in the birdbath, but so far, we haven't seen them or their parents.

Thanks for visiting & happy stitching!

Have a great weekend!

What lovely exchange stitching! You've made some really special projects.

Awww, the babies are fledged. Mom & pop are teaching them how to find food. My parents used to buy mealworms from the petshop to feed the Bluebirds. When the babies fledged, the parents would always bring them by each day for their worms!

Beautiful work on your exchanges!

Maybe you'll get a new batch of babies to watch now?

A post full of "eye candy" ~ I love the floss rings, you did a great job. The Biscornu is beautiful, as is the stocking.
thanks for the birdhouse pics. I was telling my DH about your wonderful house in hopes that he will someday make one. :)

My heavens you've been busy. I love everything you've done, but that's no surprise! :)

I'm sure the birdies will be back to visit Aunt Amy and Uncle Ray. :)

Great job on all your exchanges, Amy. Each so different, yet equally beautiful. I'm partial to the floss tag since I love anything red!

Great job!

Carolyn :)
