Several finishes to share.... :-)

I have been stitching ornaments, want to see? :-)
Petra started a QSW (Quick Stitch Weekend) Yahoo Group (the URL is on her blog if you want to join in) a couple of weeks ago & she also posted links to some freebies too... well, here are the results!

The first one is "Jingle Sparkle Joy" by Midsummer Night Designs & I think it's adorable! There are 2 more bells on the back that you can't see in the pic, I think I decided I liked the "jingle" idea just a little bit! Two are tied to ribbon & hang, and two are sewn on where the bow/hanger is attached.

Next is "Noel" by Maryse, which I just love. I made it into a pinkeep & at this point I haven't put a hanger on it for an ornament, though I might. I always have places to sit things during the holidays & I thought this would be cute in one of those places. This one I stitched this past Friday & Saturday nights, it was quick & just turns out so pretty I think!

I also stitched these 3 little Bent Creek ornies in the past few days. They're from the new "Littles" chart & are called Christmas Trio. Aren't they cute? Just simple finshing on 2" finishing forms, yes, they're that small!

This is a pattern that I downloaded from Patterns Online, can't remember the designer or what the "name" of the ornament is. I wish I had realized how much "blank" area was going to be above the design, I'd have added to it or made the "square" smaller before I finished it. I will stitch more, but I will make some changes first. Now I need some of those "breadcloth" designs that are made to be stitched in corners.... I don't know that I have any. Hmmm, maybe in some of my Leisure Arts Christmas stuff. Who wants to come dig through my stash? ;-) Anyway, shown are the front & back. It was quick & simple to stitch and finish, and it is pretty.....

Below is an ornament I've worked on off & on for a couple of weeks. I kitted it up to take the beach retreat, but never pulled it out (big surprise there huh?). It's actually a pattern I borrowed from my Pal Susan TN, and I'm not 100% sure of the title. It stays "Christmas Of Olde" and "Peace On Earth" and From the Friends of Threads of Gold. So anyway... Susan let me borrow her pattern as it's apparently oop & I couldn't get it. I love what it says but what really got me was the finishing....

Here is the piece stitched, laying flat, I had already sewn the 1 1/2" fabric strips on. (BTW, the gold is a pretty shade, it looks rather strange in this first pic, at least on my monitor)!

This is a pick of it hanging.....

This is the back.......

And a "close up" of the bottom. I just love how it turned out. It's rather large, several inches around, kinda "puffy", but oh so pretty I think. I think this is my favorite in while. I love what it says & I love the finishing. I'm going to try to find something else to finish in this way. It was really quick & easy too!

Thanks for looking at my ornaments! I have more finishes but I can't share them as they are for exchanges. I will when they are sent/received. I have some new ornaments that I hope to start tonight! I'll share them when I get them finished. Happy stitching to all!

PS-See the post below too as it was made today as well & has another of my ornaments in it! :-)

Your finishes are very nice. I have a question. I just bought all of the christmas double flips by Lizzie Kate. You have made them ornaments in your oct. 5 post. I wanted to make them one complete picture but I can't seem to find the border. I have looked on Lizzie Kate's site and it isn't there. If you have any idea where I could find it please let me know. Very nice blog!!

Love all of your finishing. I especially like the square and I have several Christmas breadcloth books and think the finished square is a great new use for the designs!

Your finishes are all great ... if you are looking for more of the breadcloth/pendibule type, then Charland Designs had several in the JCS ornie issues, but that was a while ago.

I LOVE the Jingle Sparkle Joy ornie! Is this freebie available online somewhere? Also, your needleroll ornie looks very nice. You'll need to give us some finishing instructions for that one! (wink wink)!
