Two RR finishes & update on Personalized Quaker....

I'm in a RR with some friends doing the Ackworth Friendship Book by With My Needle. Here are two RR's that I finished over the past week, the first one is Sandy's, the 2nd Terry's. I'm ahead at this point!! There is a first time for everything huh? ;-)

Here is an update on my Personalized Quaker as of January 19th (yes, it's VERY wrinkled!):

I haven't stitched on it in about 2 weeks. I'll pick it back up soon though. I started another RR that should have been done a couple of months ago. Luckily for me, I'm not the only one behind! ;-) Nancy, if you read this, your RR is "fixed". :-)
I'm really bummed that no one has the JN pattern (or kit) that I'm looking for. :-( I'm hoping to get lucky & find it sooner or later though. I just can't spend $40+ (ebay) on one chart at the moment. Maybe I should have bought a powerball ticket today! Darn.... too late now. Oh well... I'm still looking if anyone has a lead on the pattern!!
Hope you have a great rest of the week & happy stitching!!

Looking for something.... (Just Nan)....

Wondering if anyone out there in "blog-land" might be able to help me with this one.... I'm looking for Just Nan's Queen Of The Needle Sampler Case. I am interested in the pattern OR the kit. It was a class at the Silver Needle & no longer available. If anyone has it & is willing to sell or trade (or even loan!), please let me know. I'm VERY interested.

Thanks so much!

SBEBB Frosty Friends Exchange....

I mailed this exchange to Hazel several weeks ago and she let me know a few days ago that it has been received. I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish him, so he ended up as a little pillow with handmade cording. Hope Hazel likes him. :-)

I have to admit that I am a bit tired of stitching with red (gasp! I know, how awful) so I put down my Personalized Quaker & the tiny bit of stitching I've done this week has been on a RR. I haven't taken a pic of the Quaker as I try to do on Sunday, but since I haven't worked on it, I guess it won't matter! I can assure you it won't be finished by the end of Feb though! lol

Hope everyone has a great Friday & a wonderful weekend!

Winter Quaker to Edgar...

Edgar signed the last post I made to say he'd received the SBEBB Winter Quaker exchange piece. I used a Workbasket pattern from Quaker Evens/Odds but left the alphabet border off & added his initials & 08 instead and made it into a needlebook. I love the design & how it turned out. Hope that Edgar liked it as well!!

I did take Saturday off (first time in ages) and since it was cold & raining, I spent a good part of the day stitching & watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions with Ray. Renee came over for awhile to pick up a few things as she is leaving for esthetics school today. It was nice to have a chat with a friend about stitching & everything else. Renee, when you read this, I hope you really ENJOY school & I'm looking forward to being a "test client" when you're ready! ;-)

Hope everyone has a great Sunday & Happy Stitching!!

I GOT STASH!!!! And more....

I bought something for myself, look......... Isn't it great!!! :-) I had a customer ask me to order something from Olde Colonial for her & I just couldn't resist these for myself, so I had to order them. I was given a generous gift from the Pals to buy myself something "special" last year after the Pals Retreat and I finally found what I wanted! Isn't it great?!?!? THANK YOU PALS!!! I'm just trying to figure out if I can change the colors a bit or if I must stitch it with the pinks! lol I think it will be okay with changing the pinks to reds. I'll let you know when I get around to pulling threads. I really, really, really NEED to work on the Quaker Sampler this weekend but I think this is pulling at me to start it NOW! We'll see... have to make sure I have the fabric I want to use first. Hope we all get lots of stitching in this weekend. It's supposed to be COLD & rainy here, both of which I dislike intensely. :-( Oh well... good reason to stay in & stitch, right?

My dear friend Sandy wanted to help out with the relaxing part, look at the goodies I got from her (along with a RR! lol). I get to read a funny book by one of my fav's and eat yummy kisses while I'm at it. Thank you Sandy, you're a dear & I appreciate you! :-)

Last but not least (for today anyway) is my Brides Tree SAL ornament for January. The Jan. theme is a house, and I used part of an Erica Michael design that I stitched for an exchange last year that I really liked. I changed the colors to look more like our house... gray, white trim & a reddish roof. I like it, that's what counts, right? ;-)

Thanks for looking & I hope everyone has a great weekend. It's Barrett-Jackson auction time again & Ray is going to spend the weekend sitting in front of the TV watching that. Fine by me, it's good "noise" to stitch to! ;-) Actually, though I'm not a "car guy" (or gal) by any means, I do really like muscle cars (goes back to high school days) and I love to see all the great muscle cars, esp. the 69 & 70 Mustangs (my dream car, either year in Grabber Blue) and actually, most any of the 69 & 70 muscle cars are my favs. SO... I will be joining Ray for some auction watching/stitching time. I'm actually planning to take the ENTIRE weekend off. Think I can do it? I'm not so sure honestly...! ;-)

I've stitched a little...

One exchange piece is done, packed & ready to be mailed tomorrow & I've stitched a little on my Personalized Quaker. I just haven't been able to stitch for very long at a time lately. I can't show the exchange piece, but here is an update on my Quaker. I had hoped to have it done in Feb or March, but after stitching only this much, I know there is no way. Oh well... I'll do what I can!

Hope you have a great week & happy stitching!!

My SBEBB Frosty Friends from Sylvie...

Look at this ADORABLE banner from Sylvie, isn't it so cute? The color changes to match the finishing fabric are so good too. I just love it Sylvie, thanks so much!! And thank you for the extra goodies too, everything is just great!!

I'm hoping to get some stitching in tonight/tomorrow. I'm working on a Winter Quaker exchange and hope to have it ready to mail on Monday. This is the last exchange at this time.... and I'm going to do some really selfish stitching for a couple of months before I sign up for more. Ya'll see this is "writing" now, right? It's SO HARD not to sign up, but I have so much I need to get done before Spring gets here. Wish me luck!

I'll try to post an update of my Personalized Quaker tomorrow or Monday. I haven't gotten very far... just not able to stitch as much as I'd like. Oh well, it will get done, sooner or later!
Thanks for looking everyone & have a great weekend!

My Fair & Square Exchange from Vonna and.....

Here is the cute F&S exchange piece from Vonna! She did a cute Prairie Schooler design for me. I think I'm going to make it into a pinkeep!! Isn't it cute? Thank you so much Vonna!!
Next is my progress on my Personalized Quaker. The pic below my tiny bit of stitching is a computer generated version of what it will look like "someday", only all in red. I love it & think it will be gorgeous when finished. Just hope to get lots of stitching time on it in the month of January.

Hope you have a great weekend & Happy Stitching!!!
