Fair & Square #7 Received!!!

I received these lovely squares from Peg on Friday, aren't they great!!?! They're taken from Rosewood Manor's "And A Forest Grew", which Peg & I are both stitching on. :-) It was my bright idea to use something from the patterns, then I ended up choosing something else for Peg! lol I hope she likes it as much as I like my squares... I'll share a pic as soon as she receives them. Thank you again Peg!

This past week was extra busy & I hardly stitched at all. I hope to make up for it a bit today though, we'll see. I have some exchange commitments to meet & would love to get one of those done. Wish me luck!

Have a great day & happy stitching!!

Hey there... how are you?

I wanted to show you a RR piece I stitched & sent off last week... it is on Karen AZ's RR with a Pals group..... I stitched the birdhouse (go figure!). I think it turned out cute too!

I haven't stitched hardly any in the past few weeks, which is sad. Saturday I had a stitching day at my house with 3 NC gals, including Chris, Carolyn & Deborah, and 4 gals from the Charleston area, including Nicole whom many of you probably know from her blog, and Myra, Lynn & Teresa. Nicole is sweet as can be & I enjoyed meeting her & seeing everyone else again. I've known the other ladies for from 1 to 11 years. LOVE to get together with friends to stitch. Natasha, we're planning a stitching day in your honor when you get moved to SC! :-) Maybe one of these days it will work out to where BeckySC can come too! :-) If anyone else out there wants to join us, let me know & I'll be sure to let you know next time. We spent the day chatting, stitching, eating & laughing. It was fun, though I bet I didn't put in 50 stitches the entire day! ;-)

Sunday I spent the day reading & sleeping. Talk about LAZY! I picked up the new Janet Evanovich book last Tuesday & didn't have a chance to pick it up until Sunday. It stormed most of the day & everything was unplugged, so I napped & read the day away.... didn't have enough energy to stitch even. But TONIGHT, as soon as I finish this, I'm going to stitch for awhile! YEAH!!!!
Speaking of which, I'll hush now! :-) If you're still reading, thanks for dropping by & happy stitching!!

WOW - Seasonal Spring Exchagne from Myrna....

I received the spring exchange (4th of 4 exchanges on) from Myrna on Friday afternoon. It's absolutely amazing..... you just have to see to believe........ look at all of this...... (don't drool on your keyboard!).... it started out with opening this box to find a beautiful pansy tote she made with all of these oodles of purple wrapped packages in it, some with seasons written on them (I saved those until last for some reason.... ;-)Isn't this Pansy tote LOVELY? She MADE this........ (WOW!)And here are all of the goodies that were wrapped in all those purple packages (ALMOST!). She even kitted up the pansy sampler for me too, AND made the lovely card! Look all all of this...... (WOW!!!!)....

And in those packages that were labeled..... 3 of the prettiest pinkeeps ever..... Winter, Spring & Autumn by Just Nan. She had sent me Summer last year in my very first package and it's been proudly displayed every since. Now I have these other 3 beauties to add with it to complete the set. I am totally amazed at Myrna's kindness and generousity... but it doesn't end there.....LOOK at this adorable & sweet bunny fob she made for me? I put it right on one of my many fav pairs of Ginghers! :-) She stitched my name on the back too! :-)
I am still stunned & almost speechless Myrna! I LOVE everything & I will treasure it! I don't know what I did to deserve such a kindness, but I appreciate it so much & thank you from the bottom of my heart. You're a dear and I hope your kindness is returned to you tenfold!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I have bit more to post about, but I don't want to take away from this wonderful package of kindness from Myrna, so I'll do it later!! Thanks again Myrna & hugs!

Sharing two exchanges I've sent....

These two exchanges are via The Make A Wish BB, (run by Becky SC) where someone wishes for something specific (or fairly specific) and then one person volunteers to stitch their wish. For every wish you grant, you will receive one. Here are my first two...

The Halloween Needle Book is for Shelleen as per her wish & I hope she likes it. It's a SanMan design & I chose it because of the perfect "Boo" fabric I have. Also, her DH was born on Halloween.... :-) Hope you enjoy it Shelleen!
The second is a bird biscornu for Becky SC, which she wished for. It's a Pam Kellogg design & I found it at Pam's Etsy shop. She has a series of 4 bird biscornus. I choose this one for Becky because one, it's the "summer" one and it sure feels like summer in SC, and two, it seemed more like Becky because of the "Bee" colors. I do hope she likes it, even though my DH says you can't tell that those are birds. I guess I see them because I knew what it was supposed to be. Anyway, Becky says she likes it. :-)
I haven't stitched but once in a week. It was a busy week here & I was also a bit under the weather. I think I'm mostly better today, I hope so at least! We're going to see my parents & take my dad his father's day gift probably around lunch time & then I hope to stitch this afternoon while Ray puts our new computer in. This "old" one has just gotten so slow it's almost impossible to get any work done in a timely manner. I've been *kind of complaining* about it for awhile now, and while he was trying to help me with some images last Saturday he realized just how slow it is & said hey, we need a new computer.... ;-) I'm glad I asked for that help! ;-) Anyway, I'm not sure what I'll stitch on. I have so much... a F&S piece, 2 RR's, my weekly SAL on Happy Home, LOTS of WIP's and lots of new things I want to start. I guess I'll see when I sit down to stitch!

Oh, if you are a Bent Creek fan, did you see the new Snapperbet series? I think it's cute! You can see it here: http://downsunshinelane.com/bentcreek.htm Bent Creek has had some cute series designs for the last few years, but I haven't stitched any of them. Maybe someday.........

Hope you have a great week ahead & happy stitching!!

PS- Nicole - WELCOME TO SC! Hope to see you next Saturday!

Are you a Lizzie*Kate fan... if so....

Here is a link to the newest Double Flips, coming later this month. http://downsunshinelane.com/lizziekate.htm
I think I like them better than ANY of the LK design ever!!!

Enjoy & happy stitching!

Make A Wish Exchange Received!!! (and more!)

I received a LOVELY Needleroll from Carolyn in the Make A Wish Exchange group yesterday afternoon. She stitched the Shepherd's Bush Pansy Needleroll & I just love it. Thank you so very much Carolyn, it's beautiful!! I also mailed two pieces - one to Shelleen & one to Becky. Hope they arrive safely & quickly my friends & I hope you like them. :-)

I didn't stitch on my "Happy Home SAL" last night as I was finishing up the Biscornu for Becky. I'm going to "cheat" & stitch on it tomorrow (or Sunday) as I hope to finish up a RR tonight. Wish me luck! :-) I can't wait to get back to it. We had to run a few errands today so I went by the library & picked up a book on CD. I plan to park myself in the "music room" over the weekend & stitch & listen for as long as I like (or as long as my neck/back will allow). :-) Hope it works out that way.

BTW, if you like the Just Cross Stitch Ornament magazine, the Preview issue arrived today & I LOVE the Sue Hillis ornament. It's in the "tree" in the center of the pic. You can see it here............. click! Wonder why I like it so much? It's red, a tree and to me, just adorable! ;-) Can't wait to see the full mag in a few months. I actually do stitch from them now & again even!

I also bought myself some stash this week... well, one pattern anyway....
it's by Isa Vautier and I fell in love with it! I'm not sure I'll stitch it in red (even though that's my fav color), but it's adorable - rabbits, trees, birds & birdhouses... can't top that! I'll also leave off the text at the bottom as I haven't a clue what it says! lol Cute though isn't it?

Hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with lots of stitching!!!
