Next is a pic of 25 ct Vintage Country Mocha Lugana that my friend Yvonne asked to see! Another long story short, with the q-snaps, it's really very easy to stitch over one on 25 ct (go figure!) and though I've always been totally devoted to linen, Vonna urged me to give this a try. I did, and I'm 99% sure I'll be stitching Quaker Virtures on this fabric with the same floss as I'd already chosen, DMC 815 & 838. I might, however, switch the brown to GAST Dark Chocolate. We'll see when I get ready to stitch it. Below is a portion of another design in the 815 that I tried to see what I thought, and I like it! Ash Wednesday is coming quickly.... I'll decide for sure by then! :-)
And last but not least is a pic of a bird that Ray saw this a.m. We sure have missed the birds lately. I'm so ready for spring & for all the birds & bunnies to come back - not to mention WARM temps!!!

Tomorrow our stitching/blogging friend Terry is having surgery on her badly broken ankle. Please keep her in your thoughts & prayers that all goes smoothly & that she heals quickly. Hang in there Terry, you'll be back to stitching in no time!

Look at the JN!!! WOW Amy - you're flying :)
ReplyDeleteAmy, I love the JN. The colors just pop on that fabric.
ReplyDeleteGreat work gal! Glad the qsnaps are helping! Let us know on the stand when you get it worked out!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that Just Nan piece. It is looking fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAs for the migraine, I am so, so sorry to hear that you had one. I too suffer from them. I take meds because I usually get one to six a month. :( I hope you are feeling better from that now.
And don't you just love that 25 ct. I am a recent convert. After using to stitch up my Moms box I knew I HAD to have more. :) For some odd reason over one on it is a breeze.
I do hope your stand and the Q snaps make it easier for you to stitch.
Great job so far. Sorry you are having so much pain lately. Hope those qsnaps work.
ReplyDeleteWow Amy!! You have gotten a lot done. I love your test start for QV - it's going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe Just Nan is coming along splendidly. It sure is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't say what kind of pain you're having, but I have terrible pain in my arms for months at a time, and I find using a stand really helps. I hope you find it helps you, too.
Hello Amy - I didn't see an email link on your blog so leaving you a note here. I've 'tagged' you with a Fabulous Blog award. Thanks for all your inspiration. You can get the logo from my blog - then simple list 5 addictions and pass it along to 5 other blogs. :) I too have been dealing with hand pain this month and very frustrated! I bought a paraffin dip machine, and have been doing that, applying heat, massaging my hands and doing hand exercises. I type all day which doesn't help either. I hope yours improve soon and me too! Giving up stitching is just not an option for me.
ReplyDeleteno way, you're on snaps???!!! Wow. And a stand too. I feel the world tilting slightly on it axis. :) Hope they help!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the progress and I hope you like the lugana as much as everyone else seems to.
I like the JN very much!!
