Want to attend a Stitching Retreat?

We have lots of fun & we'd love to have you join us this year! It's in Myrtle Beach, SC in Oct. And don't say it's "too far" as we have stitchers who come from all over the US, Canada & even Scotland! ;-) This is a lovely group of stitchers and everyone is welcome. Okay Ruth, Chris, Michele, Malinda, (and I know there are more of you who attend who are reading my blog!)... you are welcome to tell everyone how much fun it is and that newbies are welcomed with open arms. Just be prepared to stitch, chat, laugh, eat, shop & sleep a little! ;-)

The classes this year are being taught by Jane Timmers of Fancy Work & we're doing the Maderia Tin class. Isn't this lovely? I'm really looking forward to it!!

You can find all the details here http://crossstitchpals.com/convention.html and just let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you in October!

**edited to answer Vonna's question - No, it's not available as a pattern. Only as a class at this time, sorry!

Happy stitching!

This is the pattern that Marie P is looking and scouring the internet for! That goes on the tin that she gave me for my birthday! Is it available other than at a class?

I am one that has only missed 2 years of the retreat and will miss this year as well. So for those of you that have never been, please go at last once. You will have a blast and we do welcome new members with open arms. Amy is very generous with her time and everything that goes into it, as well as her husband.

lol I've gone and gone and laughed myself absolutely silly -- really. I was quite calm before Pals. ;-)

I went knowing no one "in person" and thinking I might be nuts, but I had THE BEST time and I've made life-long friends! It'll sound stupid and sappy, but it's true -- Pals are the best!

I attended my first Pals retreat last year did not not a soul! I felt so welcome by this group of ladies! I felt so welcome, you'd think I'd known these ladies all my life. There a fun group to stitch, eat, and laugh with. I haven't been to many X-stitch retreats, but this one was by far the best retreat I've attended. I'm going again this year and can't wait to see everyone again! Now I'll be prepared to stay up way past my bed time - LOL!!!!

The Pals retreat is wonderful. I also have made lifelong friends at the retreats. I have attended every one of them. You can do as much or as little as you want. You can relax and stitch all day (and night). If you like to shop, there are plenty of shopping areas. There is plenty of laughter, and for many, very little sleep.

What a gorgeous class piece. I am going to have to think about the financials and get back to you, because I am soooo tempted!

Honestly I can't say it any better than Chris and Shellen and Malinda and Ruthie .. but they are all 100% right .. My first retreat was back in 1999, I didn't know a soul either .. but I had a wonderful time! This will be my 5 year (I think) and I'm sooo looking forward to seeing my old friends and meeting new ones .. hopefully some of you readers will be new friends :)

This sounds like great fun but I will be in Houston, TX for International Quilt Festival...I will be there for about a month.
I purchased this tin for me and one for Vonna... sorry to hear that the pattern is not available.

This will be my 3rd year going to PALS retreat and absolutely cannot wait to get there! I didn't know a soul (except my aunt who went with me) and have stitching friends forever! YOu are so welcomed with open arms and big hugs! Lots of stitching, more laughing (watch out for Ruth and her stories), eating, more stitching, even more laughing and very very little sleep. Last year we also had a couple little side trips on little cruises that were fun on Tuesday & wednesday for the ones who got there early and I am starting to look into them again guys!
