Next is my finish of LK's ABC Lessons with LOTS of color changes. I don't like pastels very much (as you can tell) so I used CC's German Chocolate for the words, Onion Skin for the blocks and then other CC's for the red, greens, blue and gold. I LOVE how it turned out. It's stitched on 32 Antique Ivory Belfast. Hopefully I can get it framed this winter sometime.... we'll see about that... I can be slow! I finished it last Sunday - no sure when I started it, but I had between 1/4 & 1/3 done when I picked it back up right after Christmas - so not too bad I don't think! :-)
Last up is what I decided to work on for a bit - my BIGGEST UFO. This is my start in 2009 on Quaker Virtues. I'm stitching on 25 ct Vintage Country Mocha with DMC 815 & 838. I can only stitch over one for so long before picking up something else, so hopefully you will see an update on this at least once a month in 2010. NO PROMISES though..... I'm not making specific plans for my stitching this year. I'm going to stitch on what I want when I feel like it. This past week I didn't get to stitch hardly at all - but hopefully I can get some in this coming week. Wish me luck!
Thanks for stopping by & happy stitching!!

That last comment that says Matthew is really me, Beth. Somehow my youngest son must have left himself up on google. OOPs
Great finishes Amy!!! I love the ornament and your LK turned out so nice. I love your color changes. I'm so glad your getting back to Quaker Virtues. The colors and fabric you chose are so pretty!

Great finishes! Love the color in the ABC's and especially love the colors in your Quaker piece.
Amy...you won't believe this but, interestingly enough, Jimmy Stewart was my graduation speaker for my college graduation back in 1988. I remember him being very funny.
Hope you have many stitches this week...don't work too hard!
I LOVE the LK ABC - what lovely colour changes. I'm too much of a coward to ever change anything, though I'm trying to change that!
Love these projects Amy!!! Especially that Quaker Virtues....cant wait to see its progress!!!
Love your stitching! The ornament is adorable and I think you should leave it out all winter!
Can't wait to watch the progress on Quaker Virtues!
Fabulous finishes. Especially the LK one.
Good luck with the Quaker piece. It will be gorgeous when it's done and worth the effort but I know what you mean about over one. :)
I love the little ornament! It will great on your tree next year.
The Lizzie Kate piece is wonderful and the color changes are beautiful!
Shouldn't stitching be about what we want to stitch and not feel obligated to? We have enough obligations in life and stitching is supposed to something we enjoy. Stitch what you want when you want, right?
Have a great day!
Brenda
Great finishes. Your WIP is going to be wonderful, I hope you will continue through 2010 and show us the progress.
I love the finishes and the color changes on the LK.

Nice to see your Quaker Virtues - if I can finish Beatrix you can finish QV!
Your stitching is out of this world!
