I've done a bit of stitching - did this on Saturday night & Sunday a.m. & gave it to my dad with his other gifts for Father's Day... I think it's pretty cute. It's Pine Mtn's "My Dad" in case anyone is interested. I added the JABC Buttons to it. I'm also still stitching on the Prairie Schooler for the friendship RR I'm doing with Nicole, Karen & Faye. HOPE to finish it this week, wish me luck!I stopped at my parent's this afternoon on the way home from the pool for more veggies from the garden & look what my mom bought for me this a.m.! Isn't it pretty? I've always wanted a "crystal basket", but never bought one. This one is large & heavy too - so pretty! She found this at the thrift shop for $3. WHAT A DEAL!!!
And speaking of the pool - this is where we've been spending some time lately. We're "pool sitting" until D&L return from CT in August. Peaceful isn't it? They have a lovely home & yard, and the pool is fantastic, even though it's HOT! The water temp this afternoon was 92, unreal that it's only June. It's almost like a warm bath until you get out in the HOT sun and get back in, then it's "almost cool" - ALMOST. ;-)
And after I laid the camera down & got in, Ray picked it up..... ;-) I was taking pics just after he finished cleaning it. This was before my sister & niece arrived & filled it up with floats & toys... ;-) We had a great afternoon though!

Great find by your mother and love your finish for your father - great colors! Our pool also gets too hot later into the summer. You are so right - it's like getting in a warm bath - ugh! I usually avoid it when the water temperture gets into the 90's although it is cooler in the evenings.
Can we sall come over for a pool party?!! Looks wonderful!!

That pool sure looks inviting, but I agree that water temp is pretty warm. You all have had a huge run of horribly hot weather. Here is Kentucky we are also having record heat with the high 90's almost daily all through June. UGH!
