Truly STUNNING.....

Blackberry Lane Designs "The Three Wisemen"
Stitched OVER ONE on 40 ct Newcastle w/DMC

Isn't this GORGEOUS beyond belief?  My dear friend Char stitched this for me.  It came in the mail today & I'm just speechless.  I told her she needed to keep it, but she is going to stitch it again for herself - she is going to do the series of 6 over one and make a bellpull out of them.  I've already been in touch with Jill Rensel about framing mine!!  Can you imagine - 40 stitches in a an inch - 1600 in a square inch?  It just boggles my mind.  I don't mind stitching over 1, but on 40 count?  Geez......
I've known Char for 12 years and she has gifted me with several beautiful stitched gifts - they just seem to get better & better!

And changing the subject - I'll have the drawing for the winner of my contest (below) tomorrow!!!

Happy stitching!!!

Edited to answer Missy's question - she stitched it with full x's!  She said after she'd gotten a fair amount done she wishes she'd used /'s though - it got a bit "bulky" even with one strand - but it's still GORGEOUS!

  1. WOW! Did she use cross stitches or petit point? I love this design, but this finish may push me over the line into buying it.

Congrats on such a lovely gift.
