Stitching and more stitching.... and a fun day! (*Edited June 5th!)

First, I want to share my "newest" start - the Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler.  I'm stitching on 36 ct Meadow Rue by Lakeside with the suggested WDW's & I just love how it's turning out so far.  Not much progress, but I'll get there.  :-)

Last June, Karen, Faye, Nicole & I started a "Friendship RR" using Prairie Schoolers "Friends" & "More Friends" leaflets (they're both OOP, sorry!).  We each picked the designs we liked best and did our own little "spreadsheet" of who was stitching what for whom so it would be "right" when finished.  All of us other than Nicole used Lakeside Vintage Buttercream - Nicole used Lakeside ??  (Can't remember - Vintage Light Examplar maybe?)  We got together at the stitch-in at The French Hens today & "delivered" the finished product to each other....

This is a picture of the 3 I stitched...
And individually -

And these are the 3 I received:

Aren't they great!?!  And yes, I think we all picked 3 of the same ones - we have great taste - what can we say? ;-)  I still have to stitch the one with the house for myself - you can see it below.

And here they are all spread out.... Karen is the only one who has stitched the one she choose to stitch for herself - SO FAR! I want to get mine done - I plan to stitch 2-3 more for myself... (I know, I always have big plans don't I?!)

And the 4 of us (I HATE having my picture taken - ugh!)
Left to right  Karen, Amy, Faye, Nicole

And here are a few pictures of the ladies stitching.....  a fun time was had by all I think! :-)

I didn't get pics of everyone - sorry - I was too lazy busy stitching to get up & take the pictures!  ;-)   I'm worn out tonight from all the stitching & chatting & laughing...  think I'll read for awhile & get to bed early!

Thanks for stopping by....
Have a great "rest of the weekend" & Happy Stitching!

***Edited Sunday a.m. - Several have asked how I plan to finish the Friendship Squares - my plan is to make them into a "book".  Faye actually came up with the idea while we were discussing the RR - and I loved it!  I even have fabric already & am anxious to get started.  :-)  I just  need MORE squares stitched.  :-)  Trust me, I'll share when I make any progress on it.  :-)  Thanks for asking - have a great Sunday!

  1. Your friendship cross stitch pictures are so nice. Do you know how you'll finish them? Perhaps they could be center squares in a star block.
