Yesterday we had a stitching gtg at The French Hens here in town. I met several new friends and got to spend time with a lot of "old" friends too. :-) I wasn't able to stitch (still can't see well enough), but it was fun watching & chatting the day away. Here are a few pictures.....
Myra & Chris from NC were here for the first time and also Beverly from Savannah and Karin from the Aiken/Augusta area joined us. We missed some of the "regulars" who couldn't come for one reason or another & will be looking forward to seeing them here next time - likely the first Saturday in December. First we have the "Stitching at the Beach" retreat in Myrtle Beach! I'm happy to share that Tanya from "The Scarlett House" will be joining us!! I've been following her blog for quilt awhile & can't wait to meet her and to see all of her new designs in person. We still have some openings - join us if you can!!
Myra brought me a new friend who's decided to "nest" by my sewing machine. Isn't she cute? Very colorful huh? Have you seen a bird called "California Dreamin" before? ;-) Thank you again Myra!
I haven't stitched in two weeks, but before that, I did manage to stitch up several small items & started on more.....
This is by Jardin Prive' and it's stitched over one with DMC. Some of you might just see this again.... ;-)
And this Triquetra is by Jamie of White Willow Stitchery - thanks again Jamie!
It's stitched over one with DMC floss as well.
There are a few other small things that I don't have pictures of - will share them later.
Thank you for stopping by - have a great week ahead - happy stitching & sewing!

Glad the op went well, you'll be stitching before you know it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little bird pincushion. Glad you had fun even though you didn't do any stitching. Just walking around chatting and seeing what everyone else is working on sounds fun too.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I wasn't able to make it this time but the sand and surf were calling my name! But, I will get to see everyone in about two months!!
ReplyDeleteGlad that everything went well with your procedure. Your stitching is beautiful as always.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on your cataract surgery. I'm sure you had fun visiting, and you'll be stitching again very soon!
ReplyDeleteI had a cataract removed as well. It was amazing to me how much better my sight was. I also have to have the other eye done. Don't know when. When is the stitching at the beach in Oct? I will be in Mytle Beach in Oct.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good time! Doesn't Myra make the cutest things? Wishing you a speedy recovery.

ReplyDeleteHi Amy! Thank you so much for hosting the stitch in - I had a wonderful time. It was fun finally getting to meet you and some of the others I "know" from blogging. Your stitching is beautiful and both over one! I hope your eye continues to heal quickly and you are back stitching soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat update, Amy! Thanks for all that you do to keep us all in touch and stitching together!
ReplyDeleteContinue to heal and take care!
What a gorgeous bird. Love it.
ReplyDeleteYour smalls are so very lovely too.
Glad the eye surgery went well. Everyone I know who has had it says it makes a world of difference. I am going to need it in both eyes soon. Love all the stitching and the hen is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bird you have nesting. The stitch in at the French Hens looks busy. Glad you eye is healing and you will soon be back to stitching over 1. Your 2 stitched pieces are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy! Good to hear that you are already seeing some positive results from your surgery!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your super-cute bird pin-cushion! I love the Jarden Prive piece too. Now I feel the urge to dig out my own chart and start stitching on it already. How will you finish yours?
I'm glad your eye surgery is turning out well and hope the other eye doesn't keep you from stitching and other activities too much. It is so fun to see your photos from the stitch day for those of us who live far away.
